Aeschynanthus Marmoratus 15Ø 50cm

Origin
Aeschynanthus marmoratus, also known as the "lipstick plant", is native to the tropical rainforests of Southeast Asia. Specifically, it has its roots in countries such as Malaysia, the Philippines, and Indonesia. This plant belongs to the Gesneriaceae family. Its natural habitat is characterized by a humid and warm climate.

Characteristics
Aeschynanthus marmoratus is an epiphytic plant, which means it grows on other plants without parasitizing them. The plant is characterized by long, fleshy leaves with marble patterns. The leaves are usually green with various silver, gray or cream colored patterns. The name "lipstick plant" comes from the bright red flowers the plant produces, which resemble an extended tube of lipstick.

Supervision
Care for Aeschynanthus marmoratus requires high humidity and lots of indirect sunlight. The plant should be watered regularly, but only when the topsoil dries out to prevent root rot. A well-draining soil is essential. The plant does not need to be fertilized regularly; once a month during the growing season is sufficient.
